Guests may be required to pay the following charge at the property: Peru Value-Added Tax (VAT) at 18%. A VAT exemption is available to travelers who present a valid passport and tourist visa showing they are not a resident of Peru. The exemption applies only to stays in Peru not exceeding 60 days.
Please note that there are no auto roads leading to Barentsburg. The only airport on Svalbard is located in Longyearbyen. During winter season, guests can reach Barentsburg by renting a snowmobile in Longyearbyen. Between March 1st and November 30th, there are regularly scheduled boat trips from Longyearbyen to Barentsburg. Please note that the boat trips are not scheduled on an every day basis. Guests are strongly advised to check the schedule ahead of trip.
